Divided

"Divided" is a captivating VR psychological thriller designed to challenge perception and immerse players in a high-stakes narrative. As Product Lead and Head 3D Artist, I directed the visual development and overall project scope, ensuring a compelling and technically robust VR experience.

Players are thrust into a relentless interrogation, falsely accused of crimes. The unique twist reveals a demonic presence within, linked to a split personality disorder, hinting that the player's own alter ego may be responsible. The gameplay demands resisting this insidious influence while simultaneously seeking clues and piecing together fractured memories to clear one's name.

The VR format enhances the psychological tension, blurring lines between reality and illusion within an atmospheric environment. Players navigate mind games, solve puzzles, and make critical choices that directly impact the narrative's trajectory and ultimate outcome.

Key contributions and skills demonstrated:

  • 3D Modelling, Texturing & Animation: Led the creation of all in-game 3D assets, characters, and environments, ensuring a hauntingly stylised visuals for the VR setting. This included detailed modelling, applying textures, and rigging/animating characters to convey psychological depth.

  • Unity & C# Programming: Implemented core mechanics, interactive elements, and narrative progression within the Unity engine using C#.

  • VR Development & Testing: Optimised the experience for virtual reality platforms, conducting rigorous testing to ensure immersive and comfortable gameplay.

  • Product Leadership: Managed the project's development pipeline, coordinating team efforts to bring the complex psychological narrative to life within the VR medium.

"Divided" showcases my comprehensive ability to craft immersive and psychologically impactful VR experiences, from artistic vision and technical implementation to project oversight.
