Shadow Streets

"The Shadowed Streets" is a chilling and atmospheric adventure that plunges players into an ethereal mystery within an abandoned factory. As Main Programmer and World/Visual Design Director, I was responsible for both the technical implementation and the immersive aesthetic of this project, bringing its haunting world to life.


Players embody a tortured private investigator, now a ghost, driven by a quest for justice after an untimely demise. Equipped with newfound light powers, gameplay revolves around navigating the shadowy environments, solving supernatural and psychological challenges, and interacting with tormented lost souls. The core experience involves delving into puzzles, strategically manipulating light to reveal hidden paths, and navigating through the story that impact both the protagonist's fate and the spirits encountered. Built within Unreal Engine, the project showcases my ability to create deeply immersive environments.


Key contributions and skills demonstrated:

  • Unreal Engine & Blueprint Programming: Developed core gameplay mechanics, interactive elements, and environmental puzzles using Unreal Engine's Blueprint visual scripting system.

  • World Building & Visual Design: Directed the creation of the abandoned factory environment, meticulously crafting its eerie atmosphere through level design and asset placement.

  • 3D Modelling & Texturing: Designed and created 3D assets and textures for the environment and interactive elements, contributing to the game's distinct visual style.

  • Camera Work, Lighting & Post-Processing: Mastered Unreal Engine's lighting and post-processing tools to establish the haunting ambiance, guide player attention, and enhance the visual storytelling.

  • Concept Sketching: Developed initial visual concepts and ideas for characters, environments, and key scenes, forming the foundation of the game's artistic direction.
